Odds count natural snowfall only. At snowmaking-dependent resorts, early-season cover can be fine in a low-natural-snow year.

Field notes
One of the biggest interconnected lift networks in American skiing — the Canyons side brings scale and the Ninety-Nine 90 steeps, the Park City side brings Jupiter Peak's chutes and town charm. More quantity than intensity, but the quantity is staggering.
The easiest destination logistics in skiing — Salt Lake's airport is well under an hour from the lifts. Old Town lodging walks to lifts and nightlife; Kimball Junction is the value play. It skis crowded near the hubs and empty at the edges — traverse farther than everyone else.

These are historical odds from the last 20 winters — not a forecast. Inside 16 days of a trip, a forecast is the better instrument; beyond that, counting real seasons is the honest play. Every number on this page is quoted under methodology v1.2.0, the same math we grade ourselves against in public.
