Atlas

Ninety-six mountains, plotted by character

Three things a mountain can’t hide: how much snow it gets, how much fall line it has, and how much of the map is steep. Every resort we track is here, sized by acreage and coloured by region. Turn it, scroll to zoom, tap one to read it — and to see the four that sit closest to it in character.

No odds on this page. This is character, not a bet — the counting language lives on each mountain’s own page, one link away from anything you select. Browse the atlas by region or read how the odds work.

Where each dot sits is its rank among the 96 on that axis, not the raw number — acreage and vertical are lopsided enough that a few giants would otherwise squash everyone else into a corner. The readout always shows the real figure. On a phone the plot drags and taps but doesn’t pinch-zoom yet, and the dots aren’t keyboard-reachable: search and the “closest in character” list are the keyboard path to any mountain.
