Odds count natural snowfall only. At snowmaking-dependent resorts, early-season cover can be fine in a low-natural-snow year.

The bet: 12″ of new snow per week, scaled to each window. Counted from real seasons — how our odds work.

Field notes
The standard by which steep lift-served skiing is judged — Corbet's is the postcard, but Rendezvous Bowl, the Hobacks' long powder marathons, and the endless sidecountry gates are the substance. The advanced-terrain number on the trail map undersells it; this mountain demands competence.
The airport sits right in the park — book flights early, because prices spike. Teton Village lodging is premium; Jackson town has range. Ikon access comes with limited days, and the 8 a.m. tram line is its own culture.

These are historical odds from the last 20 winters — not a forecast. Inside 16 days of a trip, a forecast is the better instrument; beyond that, counting real seasons is the honest play. Every number on this page is quoted under methodology v1.2.0, the same math we grade ourselves against in public.
